Re-Certification Requirements

Once you recieve your DRCC Certification, you are required to complete 12 hours of continuing education credits every two years in order to maintain the certification.

The cost for re-certification is $55.00.

This fee will be underwritten by the Mental Health Association in NJ for all DRCC's who
were grandfathered in 2008.

Grandfathering has ended as of June 30, 2008. If you submitted an application prior to June 30, 2008, you have until December 31, 2008 to complete all necessary requirements.

If you submitted an application AFTER June 30, 2008, the required courses needed for certification are as follows: Introduction to Disaster Mental Health and Crisis Counseling, NIMS700/ICS100, Psychological First Aid, Ethical Issues in Crisis Response, and Cultural Diversity in the Provision of Disaster Mental Health.
